Created in 1897 and interupted during two world wars, the Monte-Carlo tournament is celebrating its 100th anniversary from 15 -23 April 2006.

Enriched by its long history this event has always been on the fore of the international tennis. The greatest names in tennis have participated in the tournament and triumphed on the courts of the Monte-Carlo Country Club....Nastase, Borg, Connors, Lendl, Edberg, Becker, Muster, Pioline, Kuerten, Ferrero and Nadal are just a few to have enthrilled a public which numbers more than 100000 spectators today.

2006 event will be particularly attractive with a spectacular program of festivities and once again a participation of the best players in the world, including the title holder Rafael Nadal.
