The marvellous Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel, which is now the Masters Series Monte-Carlo Official Hotel, played host to the press conference for the 2006 tournament that runs from 15-23 April.

The Organisation Committee introduced the 100th edition of the clay-court tournament to around 60 journalists and official partners.

In a video, reigning champion Rafael Nadal expressed his enthusiasm for the event in a video and his wish to come back this year.

Tournament director Zeljko Franulovic welcomed everybody and announced a new partner: ROLEX. The famous trademark is now joining the tournament as PRESENTING SPONSOR. ROLEX, a sponsor of the 2005 BNP Paribas Masters will ensure a 100th edition to remember.
