At the end of the match between World No. 1 Roger Federer and 18-year-old qualifier Novak Djokovic, a surprise was unveiled to the Central Court audience.

To celebrate the hundredth edition of the tournament, a hundred balls imprinted with the brand of Monte Carlo Country Club were sent to the different parts of the stands by Roger Federer and three players of the Monte Carlo Davis Cup team: Jean René Lisnard, Thomas Drouet, Benjamin Balleret.
